According to the article, the record that Shkreli bought in 2015 is now held by Crypto group PleasrDAO, who bought the secret album for $4 million dollars from various parties.

The album was purchased by the US Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York in July, but PleasrDAO didn’t get it until September and has been keeping the news under wraps in a secret New York City vault. The group of purchasers, which also includes an unnamed entity, intends to release the album, but must first get official permission from RZA and Cilvaringz, the record’s producers.

Shkreli purchased the record for $2 million dollars in 2015. Following his conviction for securities fraud in 2017, he lost ownership of the album and was sentenced to seven years in jail. PleasrDAO issued a video announcement of the album’s acquisition yesterday, as seen above.
