Slitherine is entering the market of tabletop games with its upcoming release on November 15, 2018. The game publisher claims to be “the most successful gaming company in history,” and it has a recent precedent for success: Terminator – Decimation was released back in December 2017.
Slitherine and Skydance Interactive have announced Terminator: Dark Fate – Defiance, a first-person shooter video game for PC. The highly anticipated new title is the sequel to 2016’s critically acclaimed Terminator Genisys, which tells the story of Skynet’s rise through time warps and alternate realities on an epic scale.
The “terminator genisys: guardian” is a new game from the company Slitherine. It is set in a post-apocalyptic world where humanity has been wiped out by machines. The game is an updated version of Terminator: Genisys.
The first real-time strategy game based on the rebooted world, Terminator: Dark Fate – Defiance, was released today by Slitherine and Skydance Media. The game, developed by Russian company Cats Who Play, puts players in charge of a tiny number of survivors who must combat Legion’s soldiers in order to avert annihilation.
The single-player campaign of Terminator: Dark Fate – Defiance puts you in the shoes of a Founders faction leader. As you make your way across a strategic map, seeking different goals, your core army will carry over between missions.
“Terminator is one of those rare IPs that transcends generations and becomes a timeless sensation,” stated Marco Minoli, CMO of Slitherine. “We’re attempting to build an experience that combines the richness of current sci-fi fiction with the fast-paced action of modern RTS. All while remaining loyal to our origins as a difficult strategy game.”
Your strategic actions will “have far-reaching plot implications,” according to the developer. Rather than concentrating on base construction, the game will center on tactical combat that put infantry, armor, air units, and the terrifying Terminators against one another.
The armor properties of units, as well as the vehicles’ possible component malfunctions and hull construction, are all taken into consideration when calculating damage. You’ll also be able to destroy structures in urban locations, opening up new tactical possibilities.
With support for 1v1, 2v1, and 2v2 matches, Terminator: Dark Fate – Defiance will also have a multiplayer mode in which players may control the Legion and Resistance factions alongside the Founders from the story.
Terminator: Dark Fate – Defiance will be released digitally in 2022.
