In Tales of Arise, the Secret Key is obtained by beating the Efreet Malum monster in Berg Volcano. The Secret Key may be used to open a door in Calaglia’s Trench of Flames’ East Side section after you obtain it.
Return to the Trench of Flames in Calaglia and proceed to the East Side area after you’ve defeated Efreet Malum. The door will be indicated as ‘???’ when it appears on the map. When you approach this door, it will initiate the “Into the Grotto” sub-quest, which will be finished very immediately.
Balseph’s Hidden Treasury – Secret Key Rewards
Balseph’s Hidden Treasury will be revealed when you use the Secret Key to open the vault. You will get 3400 gold, 105 SP, and the Wiener Recipe to use in cooking for accomplishing the Herculean feat of unlocking the door.
There are five boxes to loot in the vault. Three red chests are flanked by two brown chests in this scene. The three red chests hold considerably more expensive goods than the brown chests, which include Sheep Meat and Pork.
